Hooters girls protest over raunchy new uniform, Internet trolls say that's a bit rich
Hooters replaced its already short shorts for their waitresses with something that's not any different than panties and it has not been received well
Hooters servers are protesting the uniform change, complaining about the length of the shorts which has gone shorter. Employees are complaining that the new "shorts" are as good as underwear while the customers are complaining that it's a health code violation. While the new uniform has not been received well by some employees and there's an open protest against it, the store has issued a policy making it mandatory. Workers are told, "Starting Oct. 4, all Hooters girls should wear the new shorts when working once they arrive to stores," and that "The old shorts should not be worn."
Certain took to social media to bash the employees who've raised concerns about the uniform. "This complaint is a bit ridiculous. How are you gonna work at hooters then complain that your uniform is revealing? That's what makes it , it's the entire gimmick of the restaurant. It's understandable to not want that as a job, but then... what are they doing there?" tweeted a user. "It's Hooters. If you don't like the required uniforms find somewhere else to work," tweeted a second. "People complaining about Hooters' new uniform. Have you seen what high school cheerleaders wear? And these are minors!" a third wrote, justifying the uniform.
This complaint is a bit ridiculous. Howre you gonna work at hooters then complain that your uniform is revealing? Thats what makes it Hooters, its the entire gimmick of the restaurant.

Hooters ask employees to resign if they have concerns about the new uniform
New York Post reported that Hooters has sent in a notice to their employees asking them to submit their resignation if the tiny trunks bother them. In a statement to , Hooters of America, LLC said they are appreciating, "the feedback, both positive and negative, regarding a more accommodating and inclusive image policy on tattoos, jewelry nails, hairstyles, as well as new uniforms - to include new top styles, shorts, and the addition of socks.
The company said the "new uniforms were the result of a collaboration with Hooters Girls' and that "these uniforms have been worn for months in several Texas markets and have received overwhelmingly favorable reviews from both Hooters Girls and customers." Hooters of America also added, "we will continue to work with staff to make sure the new uniforms are sized correctly and comfortable while reflecting current styles."
